Jordanian International Search and Rescue Team returns from Libya

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Sunday announced the return of the Jordanian International Search and Rescue Team, after completing  their assigned missions in the flood-affected regions of Libya.

A ministry statement reported that the Jordanian team, which is affiliated with the Public Security Directorate, concluded its participation after 10 consecutive days of work.

This time frame is in line with internationally recognised protocols for rescue team operations. The 88-member team included five doctors from the Royal Medical Services, and a specialised search and rescue unit using trained dogs.

The Jordanian International Search and Rescue Team holds a prestigious international classification and is one of the most professional teams in the world. They have participated in numerous international relief operations.
