Jordanian-Indian economic committee to convene next week

AMMAN — A delegation chaired by India’s Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman will arrive in Amman next week to take part in the ninth session of the India-Jordan Joint Trade and Economic Commission meeting, scheduled for Monday.
Technical committee meetings, chaired by secretaries general from both sides will precede the joint committee meeting at the ministerial level, according to an embassy statement.
The two sides will discuss issues of mutual interest to help further boost cooperation in all fields.
Sitharaman will meet with several Jordanian officials and CEOs from Jordan, Iraq and India during the visit, according to the statement.
