AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry’s operations centre, through the Jordanian embassy in Ottawa, is following up with the concerned authorities on the case of a Jordanian citizen in Canada who was found injured in his car on a highway, Ministry Spokesperson Sabah Al Rafie said on Monday.
Rafie told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that Canadian police found the Jordanian-Canadian citizen with stab and burn marks on his body. The investigation is still ongoing, she added.
Note: A previous version of this item said the man had been found dead, citing the initial report on Petra. The agency later refiled the story saying he was found injured.
