AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry said on Saturday it was closely monitoring the conditions of Jordanian citizens in Venezuela following two earthquakes that recently struck the country.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Fouad Majali said in a statement that a Jordanian national residing in Venezuela died as a result of the earthquake, while his wife remains missing.
Majali noted that the ministry, through the Jordanian embassy in Brazil, is coordinating with Venezuelan authorities in the search operations and continues to provide necessary support to the victim's family.
