AMMAN — The Jordanian Campaign, in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, continues to operate its bakery in northern Gaza, providing fresh bread to displaced families amid ongoing conflict and economic hardship.
The bakery, which recently increased its operations to near-daily production, distributes hundreds of loaves of bread to families scattered across various displacement areas in the region.
Field teams from the campaign confirmed that humanitarian efforts are ongoing both in the north and south of the war-torn Gaza Strip, despite the severe conditions on the ground, according to Al Mamlaka TV.
The initiative is part of a broader series of relief efforts launched by the Jordanian campaign since the onset of the aggression on Gaza to address the worsening humanitarian crisis, caused by the closure of border crossings, soaring prices and severe shortages of food and essential supplies.
As part of its expanding humanitarian operations, the Jordanian Campaign and JHCO have also launched a pilot bakery in northern Gaza, with the aim of providing fresh bread to families facing critical food shortages in the area.
As part of the “Jordanian Kitchen” initiative, the campaign has also been delivering food aid to various areas in the north, centre, and south of the besieged enclave.
Jordan’s humanitarian response also includes the “Restoring Hope” initiative, launched in September 2024 under Royal directives. The programme aims to provide prosthetic limbs to individuals who have lost limbs as a result of the war. It is a collaborative effort involving the Royal Medical Services, the “Hakeem” programme by Electronic Health Solutions, and JHCO.
Jordan also operates two military field hospitals in Gaza. The first, located in the northern part of the Strip, was established in 2009 following the 2008 conflict. The second was set up in Khan Younis, in the south, in November 2023 at the height of the Israeli war on the coastal enclave that began on October 7, 2023.
