Jordanian ambassador attends Uzbekistan president’s funeral

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Jordan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Saleh Jawarneh on Saturday attended the funeral of Uzbekistan’s President Islam Karimov in Samarkand, who passed away on Friday.

A number of country leaders and their representatives attended the funeral.

Jawarneh conveyed the King’s condolences to the Karimov family and to the people and government of Uzbekistan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
