AMMAN — Air traffic across Jordanian airspace and airports remains normal despite ongoing regional developments, Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner Daifallah Farajat said on Monday.
Farajat said the commission is closely monitoring regional developments and maintaining continuous coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the safety of air navigation and the smooth operation of airports, Al Mamlakak TV reported.
He urged travellers to contact their airlines before heading to the airport to verify flight schedules and departure times, noting that regional developments may affect some flights.
Farajat stressed that the commission has implemented all necessary precautionary measures to safeguard passengers and aircraft, reaffirming that Jordanian airspace is operating in line with the highest international safety standards.
The statement comes amid renewed regional tensions after several missiles breached Jordanian airspace following an Iranian missile launch towards Israel on Sunday evening.
