AMMAN — Jordan on Friday hailed the ceasefire that was announced by the Presidential Council of Libya and Libya's parliament.
The Foreign Ministry highlighted the importance of reaching a permanent ceasefire through the engagement of all stakeholders in a “Libyan-Libyan dialogue and serious political negotiations", aiming at restoring Libya’s security, stability and sovereignty in accordance with accredited references, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported citing a Foreign Ministry statement.
The ministry also expressed hope that such moves would protect the Libyan people and stop all foreign interference in Libya's internal affairs.
