Jordan, US discuss cooperation in tourism, labour

AMMAN — Labour and Tourism Minister Nidal Katamine on Tuesday received US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells and discussed labour and tourism cooperation.

The meeting also tackled employment projects the US government supports.

Katamine reviewed the challenges the Syrian refugee crisis has placed on the labour market.

For her part, Wells stressed the importance of developing US-Jordanian relations, especially in enhancing women’s participation in the labour market.
