AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Monday called on Arab countries to maintain the highest level of coordination and to always use a cohesive and unified discourse to serve Arab causes, mainly the Palestinian question.
Judeh’s remarks came during the meeting in Cairo that brought together top diplomats from Egypt, Morocco and Palestine in addition to the Arab League’s Secretary General Nabil El Araby.
Judeh also stressed the need to intensify Arab joint efforts to push for a re-launch of serious peace negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis that can lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state according to the Arab Peace Initiative.
The meeting was part of the mission of a task force formed by the 26th Arab Summit, held on March 28-29 in Sharm El Sheikh, to embark on an Arab joint effort to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territory.
