Jordan, UK discuss parliamentary cooperation

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Sunday met with UK Ambassador to Jordan Peter Millett and discussed bilateral ties and the latest regional developments, especially in Syria and Iraq.
Tarawneh voiced his appreciation for the UK’s support to Jordan in all areas, calling for more support from the international community to enable the Kingdom to continue its humanitarian role towards refugees.
Talks also covered ways to boost parliamentary cooperation, in addition to reform steps Jordan is embarking on.
