AMMAN — Jordan and the United Arab Emirates have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a joint committee for consular affairs.

The move aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and improving consular services for citizens of both countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The agreement was signed at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi by Jordanian Ambassador to the UAE Majed Qatarneh and UAE Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs Faisal Lutfi.

The signing ceremony was attended by Jordanian Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Omar Otoum, Petra said.

The MoU reflects the strong ties and close partnership between Jordan and the UAE, underscoring the two countries' shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in the consular sector and enhancing services provided to their citizens.
