Jordan throws ‘full support’ behind Egypt

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday sent a cable of condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, expressing his sympathy over the death of Egyptian soldiers who were killed in terrorist attacks that targeted military locations in Sinai.
In the cable, King Abdullah condemned these "coward terrorist acts", and expressed Jordan's full support to Egypt in combating terrorism, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, a Royal Court statement said.
Meanwhile, the Lower House condemned on Thursday the terrorist attacks that targeted officers and civilians in Egypt, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Chamber reasserted Jordan’s solidarity with the Egyptian government and people in confronting terrorism and acts of violence that are “seeking to undermine Egypt’s stability”. Moreover, it stressed Jordan’s rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, regardless of their source or origin, widely carried out by “radical forces that have nothing to do with Islam and have no respect for humanitarian values”. The MPs extended their condolences to the Egyptian government,and people and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
