Jordan, Switzerland to hold political talks next month

AMMAN — Swiss ambassador to Jordan, Hans-Peter Lenz, on Monday expressed his country’s keenness to further develop the “good” relations with Jordan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.

He cited the various opportunities in several political and socioeconomic fields. Speaking to Petra on the occasion of Switzerland’s national day, Lenz said Jordanian and Swiss officials are scheduled to meet in Amman next month, Petra added.

He commended the humanitarian role played by Jordan in receiving Syrian refugees and emphasised the importance of the international community shouldering its responsibilities towards the refugees and helping Jordan continue its humanitarian role.
