‘Jordan seeks further cooperation with Russia in fighting crime’

AMMAN — Minister of Interior Hussein Majali on Wednesday called for strengthening security coordination with Russia to fight terrorism, human trafficking, organised crime, and drugs and arms smuggling.

He made the remarks during a meeting with Russian Ambassador to Jordan Boris Bolotin, where talks focused on issues to be discussed by Jordan and Russia during an upcoming visit to the Kingdom by a Russian delegation.

Majali underlined the need to arrive at a comprehensive political solution for the Syrian crisis, citing the important role Russia can play in finding a consensus that all parties of the Syrian conflict agree on.
