Jordan, Qatar forge partnership discussions at 12th Arab Energy Conference in Doha

AMMAN — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh and Qatari Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad Sherida Al Kaabi on Tuesday discussed bilateral cooperation in the energy and mineral sectors during the 12th Arab Energy Conference in Doha. Kharabsheh emphasised the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve energy security, particularly amid the current situation in neighbouring countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He also highlighted the importance of boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy and mining, according to the ministry statement. Kharabsheh also presented investment opportunities available in the petroleum and mineral sectors, which aim to attract interested investor. He also highlighted the sector’s achievements over the past years. Kaabi welcomed the prospects of Jordanian-Qatari cooperation in energy and mineral sectors, expressing Qatar Petroleum’s readiness to collaborate on oil exploration projects in Jordan
