AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) said it conducted a humanitarian airdrop over the Gaza Strip on Sunday, delivering essential supplies to civilians in the besieged enclave.
The operation was carried out in coordination with the Royal Jordanian Air Force and in partnership with Germany, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.
JAF said that around 41 tonnes of food and relief aid were dropped into the territory.
According to a JAF statement, Sunday’s mission brought the total number of airdrops conducted by Jordanian forces since the resumption of operations on 27 July to 162, in addition to 392 airdrops carried out in collaboration with international partners.
JAF said the amount of aid delivered by the Royal Jordanian Air Force stands at around 791 tonnes of humanitarian assistance and essential supplies.
