Jordan, Netherlands discuss regional developments

AMMAN — Jordan and The Netherlands on Thursday discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in economic, political and security-related fields, in light of the latest regional developments.
During a meeting with members of the Council of State of The Netherlands, Interior Minister Hussein Majali reiterated the importance of enhancing cooperation to achieve joint interests under the difficult conditions the region is witnessing.
They also discussed the impact of the Syrian refugee influx on the Kingdom and its repercussions on the economy.
Jan-Kees Wiebenga, head of the delegation, commended Jordan’s efforts to welcome Syrian refugees despite current economic conditions.
