Jordan marks 65th anniversary of Hazzaa Majali’s death

AMMAN — The Kingdom on Friday will mark the 65th anniversary of the assassination of prime minister Hazzaa Majali.

Born in 1920, Majali received his primary education in Maeen and then studied in Al Rabbeh and later in Karak.

Majali completed his higher education in Salt. He assumed several posts and was elected MP for two terms in 1951 and 1954, in addition to receiving several medals. Majali was killed in a bombing that targeted the Prime Ministry on August 29, 1960. He had dedicated every Monday to meeting with citizens to listen to their complaints and grievances.
