Jordan to host conference of cooperative ministers for Asia and Pacific region

AMMAN — The Jordan Cooperative Corporation (JCC) and International Cooperative Alliance-Asia and Pacific on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to host the conference of cooperative ministers for the Asia and Pacific region in Jordan in April 2024.

JCC Director Abdulfattah Shalabi and Balasubramanian Balu Iyer, regional director of the alliance, signed the MoU in the presence of Agriculture Minister and JCC Chairman Khalid Hneifat, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Hneifat welcomed the alliance's decision to choose the Kingdom as the host of the conference.

Shalabi said that hosting the conference represents an important opportunity to benefit from the expertise of participating countries at the cooperative level.

Iyer stressed the alliance's commitment to providing all the necessary support for the success of the conference.
