Jordan, Greece launch first round of political consultations

AMMAN — Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Majed Qatarneh and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Hellenic Republic Alexandra Papadopoulou on Monday launched the first round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. The Athens-held consultations focused on strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation, which has grown significantly in recent years, particularly in the political, economic, tourism and cultural fields. Recent regional developments were also discussed, with particular emphasis on the Palestinian cause and the situation in Gaza.
