AMMAN — State Minister for Investment Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh on Thursday said that "Jordan will be a leading country in helping Iraq in its reconstruction", the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The remark came during Shehadeh's participation in a conference on reconstructing Iraq that concluded on Wednesday in Kuwait and saw the participation of representatives of 75 countries and organisations.
Jordan will save no efforts in helping Iraq, the minister said, stressing the Kingdom's keenness to share the necessary expertise to its neighbour.
The Jordanian delegation to the conference was headed by State Minister for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani, who underscored the Kingdom's support to the Iraqi people in the reconstruction process.
