AMMAN — Jordan Field Hospital “Gaza 30” personnel are working round-the-clock to help Gaza residents during the Israeli attacks on the strip, hospital officials said on Thursday.
Hospital Commander Col. Hassan Innab was quoted by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, as saying that the facility received a significant number of serious injury cases as a result of the Israeli attacks.
Hospital Director Col. Saleh Sqour said the hospital is ready to cooperate with other hospitals in the strip and provide treatment to the injured.
He also said the hospital provided Al Shifa Medical Complex with oxygen cylinders.
Jordan dispatched the hospital following the Israeli war on Gaza in July 2009. By April this year, the medical cadres had dealt with over 1.2 million Gazans.
The Kingdom has dispatched similar army-run makeshift hospitals to Beirut during the 2006 Israel war on Lebanon and Fallujah in Iraq, among others.
