Jordan expresses condolences over victims of tornado in US

AMMAN — Jordan on Saturday expressed condolences to the government and people of the US over the victims of the tornado that ripped through Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas, killing dozens of people and causing significant material damage, according to a Foreign Ministry statement. Haitham Abu Al Foul, ministry's spokesperson, voiced the Kingdom's solidarity with the American government and people and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The ministry called on Jordanians residing in the states affected by the tornado to exercise caution, comply with public safety instructions issued by the US authorities and contact the operations centre number 0096279549777 at the ministry's headquarters in case of an emergency or the emergency number of the Kingdom's embassy in Washington: 2022949522.
