AMMAN — Jordan does not import cheese and jameed, the dried yoghurt used in Jordan’s national dish mansaf, from a factory in Egypt that allegedly used wall paints in the manufacturing of its food products, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) said on Tuesday.
In a statement, JFDA Director General Nizar Muhaidat said that the Kingdom imports dairy products from other factories in Egypt that are subject to authorities' supervision and meet manufacturing requirements, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
