AMMAN — A new humanitarian aid convoy consisting of 60 trucks loaded with food supplies departed on Sunday for the war-torn Gaza Strip.
This convoy, which falls within Jordan’s ongoing efforts to support Palestinians amid worsening humanitarian conditions, was organised in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), the World Food Programme (WFP), and World Central Kitchen, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
This latest delivery reflects Jordan’s commitment to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and provide urgent relief to Gaza's residents, especially given the severe shortages of basic necessities caused by the ongoing blockade.
The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) coordinated the convoy in cooperation with several official bodies and humanitarian organisations, as part of a series of Jordanian initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of civilians in the besieged Strip.
The shipment addresses immediate food needs and will be followed by additional deliveries in the coming days, Petra added.
