AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday condemned an Iranian attack targeting two oil tankers belonging to the United Arab Emirates as they passed through the Strait of Hormuz, as a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation that threatens maritime security.
The ministry reiterated the Kingdom's strong condemnation of the attack and expressed Jordan's unwavering solidarity with the UAE, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
The ministry reiterated Jordan's full support for all measures taken by the UAE to safeguard its sovereignty, security and the safety of its citizens.
It also expressed its deepest condolences to the government and people of India over the death of one of its nationals in the attack, and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
