AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Monday condemned the Houthis’ launch of a missile towards Riyadh, targeting civilian areas, where Saudi air defences intercepted and destroyed the projectile.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Deifallah Fayez reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of this "cowardly terrorist attack", and its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that target innocent people, and seek to undermine the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, according to a ministry statement.
Fayez also voiced the Kingdom’s dull solidarity with Saudi Arabia in facing any threat to its security, stressing that the security of the two kingdoms “is one and inseparable”, and that any threat to the security of Saudi Arabia is a threat to the security and stability of the entire region.
Fayez also praised the capabilities of the Saudi air defences and their success in countering recurrent attacks.
