Jordan condemns continuous Israeli attacks in Jenin

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry condemned the continuous Israeli incursions into, as well as, attacks on occupied Palestinian cities, the latest of which was the attack on the city of Jenin on Tuesday.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sinan Majali, in a statement, reiterated Jordan’s call to cease the escalation and halt attacks against Palestinians, warning that continuing these attacks will lead to further deterioration, broaden the “whirlpool of violence”, and undermine efforts aimed at achieving calm.

Majali stressed the need for an immediate halt to all illegal and unilateral Israeli measures to safeguard the two-state solution, and seriously engage in effective negotiations to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that ends the occupation and guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, on the June 4, 1967 lines, with occupied East Jerusalem as its capital.
