AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry has condemned the attack targeting Saudi Arabia with three drones coming from Iraqi airspace.
The ministry slammed the attack, on a statement on Monday, as a “flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, a threat to its security, stability, and territorial integrity, and a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter.”
The statement also reiterated Jordan’s solidarity and support for Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to protect its sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
Saudi Arabia said Sunday it had intercepted and destroyed three drones that had entered from Iraqi airspace.
Defence ministry spokesman Turki Al Maliki said the drones had entered on Sunday morning and that the ministry "reserves the right to respond at the appropriate time and place,” according to AFP.
