Jordan, China discuss judicial, legal cooperation

AMMAN — President of the Court of Cassation and President of the Judicial Council, Mohammad Ghazo on Wednesday met a Chinese delegation led by the Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate Ying Yong. Ghazo highlighted the economic and cultural cooperation between Jordan and China, which dates back to the 1970s, and commended the efforts of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China in stregthening judicial and legal cooperation with the Jordanian public prosecution, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.  He highlighted the Judicial Council keenness to benefit from China's expertise in artificial intelligence technologies in managing litigation. Ying expressed his pride in the Chinese-Jordanian partnership and emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors, given the crucial role of the public prosecution in upholding the rule of law. The discussions went over the terms of a draft memorandum of understanding on judicial and legal cooperation between the Jordanian Public Prosecution and the Chinese Supreme People's Procuratorate.
