AMMAN — Jordan and Bangladesh celebrated the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations on Saturday at the Royal Cultural Centre, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Commemorating the occasion, a number of Jordanian and Bangladeshi folklore groups delivered a variety of art performances. Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Jordan Nahida Sobhan highlighted the history of bilateral relations between the two countries, affirming Bangladesh's support for resolving Arab issues and its stance with Hashemite Custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Deputising for the Culture Minister, Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Culture Rola Awwad underlined the development witnessed by Jordan-Bangladesh ties, which are bound by the two countries’ common values.
