Jordan applauds Morocco’s election as President of United Nations Human Rights Council

AMMAN — Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the election of the Permanent Representative of Morocco as the President of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the year 2024.
This reflects international recognition of Morocco's achievements in respecting and promoting human rights, as well as fostering values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry's spokesperson Sufian Qudah affirmed the Kingdom's appreciation for the continuous efforts of Morocco in promoting and protecting human rights.
He also acknowledged the diplomatic and human rights initiatives undertaken by Morocco on both regional and international fronts. The Kingdom expresses confidence in Morocco's ability to lead this international governmental body and supports its goals in enhancing and safeguarding human rights globally, Qudah said.
