AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday attended an event organised by the Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) marking a century of referring to the Jordanian army as the Arab Army.

In remarks during the event, held at the Royal Tank Museum, JODDB Director General Brig. Gen. Ayman Batran underscored the integral role of the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) in various areas of nation-building and development, emphasising the JAF’s collaborative efforts with state institutions as a dynamic partner in the national renaissance process.

Batran said that these JAF efforts are exerted in conjunction with operational and military duties in defending the homeland and preserving its assets, as well as supporting other countries in times of crises and its humanitarian duties in safeguarding international peace and security, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Ratib Abul Ragheb, head of the Sales Department at JODDB, highlighted His Majesty King Abdullah’s continuous directives to support and encourage excellence and distinction across all fields, noting that the establishment of the bureau, serving as a nurturing hub for innovation and creativity, represents a manifestation of the Royal vision.
