JNC takes part in nursing, midwifery conference in Romania

AMMAN — Deputising for HRH Princess Muna, president of the Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC) and patron of nursing and midwifery in the eastern Mediterranean region, Ruwaida Maaitah, who is also the adviser to Princess Muna for health and community development, headed the delegation that participated in a nursing and midwifery conference in Romania.

A JNC statement on Monday, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the event kicked off on July 19 and included a message from Princess Muna congratulating the Romanian Nursing and Midwifery Association and attendees and wishing them further success.

Maaitah, who delivered a speech on behalf of the princess, said that the latest regional and international health challenges highlight the importance of enhancing the role of leadership and administration in nursing. The Jordanian delegation also signed a memorandum of understanding with the association to boost cooperation.
