AMMAN — A number of industrial and commercial enterprises on Tuesday took part in a series of workshops organised by the Jordan Metrology Organisation (JMO) in preparation for the standards mirroring and twinning project with the EU.
The workshop aims at unifying the manufacturing and commercial standards of Jordanian enterprises to facilitate the access and admission of national industrial products to EU markets, the statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said.
Director of the JMO Rula Madanat said that these standards will help configure Jordanian products to meet the technical requirements for entry to the EU, set in European legislation.
Three workshops were held; the first on pressurised equipment, the second on electrical appliances and relevant legislation on electromagnetic devices and the third on electrical appliances and radio equipment requirements.
