AMMAN — Twenty-two MA students at the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) will start a week-long trip to Sweden on Friday, according to a JMI statement released on Thursday.
The trip is organised by the Swedish branch of Reporters Without Borders (RWB) in cooperation with the Swedish Postcode Lottery Culture Foundation, the statement said.
The students are scheduled to visit several print and broadcast media organisations in Stockholm, and meet with representatives of RWB and the Association for Investigative Journalism.
They will also undertake a campaign to promote Jordan’s cultural and tourist attractions.
They will also meet with Swedish Minister of Culture and Democracy Alice Bah Kuhnke and several “leading journalists and reporters”, the statement added.
