AMMAN — The Jordan International Food Festival (JIFF) on Saturday dispatched its third relief convoy to the Gaza Strip, in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO).
The shipment, loaded with food and medical supplies, was made possible through contributions from participating companies, institutions, individuals, and private sector representatives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The campaign will deliver a total of 300 tonnes of food supplies, divided into three batches before and during the festival to ensure a continuous flow of aid and meet the needs of the enclave’s residents.
Director-General of the Jordan Tourism Board Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat highlighted Jordan's continues support for the people of Gaza by providing humanitarian assistance through all possible channels.
“This aid reflects the Kingdom's unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause and His Majesty King Abdullah's ongoing commitment to bolstering the resilience of the Palestinians in Gaza as they face severe humanitarian and living challenges,” he said.
Arabiyat noted that the Jordan International Food Festival serves as an active platform for supporting Gaza, dedicating part of its proceeds to humanitarian relief. He added that the initiative embodies Jordan’s spirit of solidarity and reaffirms the Kingdom’s commitment to helping Gazans withstand the difficult circumstances they face.
Tourism Board spokesperson Anas Adwan said the campaign demonstrates the Jordanian private sector’s commitment to social responsibility and reflects the Kingdom’s deeply rooted humanitarian values.
Donations will remain open throughout the festival to allow wider participation from all sectors and communities, he noted.
The festival features 165 Jordanian entrepreneurial projects, 76 women from local communities, 180 Jordanian restaurants, 20 food manufacturing companies, and support for 38 local communities across the Kingdom through production kitchens, handicrafts, and authentic cultural experiences led by men and women from these areas.
The Jordan Tourism Board has announced that all ticket proceeds from the 2025 Jordan International Food Festival will go directly to supporting children in Gaza.
