JICA dispatching new group of volunteers across Kingdom

AMMAN — The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on Wednesday dispatched 12 volunteers through Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers programme to work in various fields as requested by the Jordanian government.
The volunteers will start their assignments by the beginning of September in Aqaba, Amman, Jerash, Ajloun, Salt and Mafraq after they attend an intensive Arabic language course for one month in Amman, a JICA statement said on Wednesday.
The volunteers are specialised in assistance and education for people with disabilities, physical therapy, wrestling, physical education, early childhood education and environment education.
The JICA has been dispatching volunteers to Jordan since 1986 and the total number of the volunteers exceeds 750 so far, the statement said.
