JIC chief visits agriculture research centre

AMMAN — Agriculture is among "the most vital sectors of the national economy" for its being related to citizens, their food and health, Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) President Khalid Wazani said on Tuesday.

Wazani's remarks were made during a visit to the National Centre for Agricultural Research and Extension and his meeting with its director Nizar Haddad with the aim of setting up a “proper mechanism” to explore investment opportunities in the agricultural sector, according to a JIC statement.
