AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) has prepared a programme to distribute food parcels to more than 10,000 needy families during the holy month of Ramadan, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.
JHCO has made several partnerships with the public and private sector as well as civil society organisations to collect donations for the project, which aims at targeting the maximum number of vulnerable families.
Each food parcel, which is worth JD22.5, contains 19 basic food items sufficient for a 7-to-10-member family, according to Petra, which added that the organisation is undertaking the delivery of aid to the people registered on its database across the various governorates.
