JHCO, KSRelief launch housing support project for 111 Syrian families in Irbid

AMMAN — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), has started the implementation of a housing support project for the benefit of 111 Syrian families in Irbid.

According to a JHCO statement issued on Tuesday, the beneficiaries, Syrian households, have been selected according to specific criteria, as the eligible families are those whose breadwinner of a family or a family member suffers from a spinal cord disease or muscle disorder that would make working impossible.

The project, according to the JHCO, entails the cost of the housing unit, which will be determined in accordance with the health condition, assistance for water and electricity bills, as well as for the workers who serve the beneficiaries, which could help in providing them with a decent life.

JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli said that the new project is among the shelter projects implemented by the organisation and its partners in humanitarian work.

Director of the KSRelief branch in Jordan Saud Al Hezaim said that the project is a continuation of the KSRelief relief programmes and plans, implemented in coordination with the relevant authorities.
