AMMAN — The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), on Thursday dispatched a humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip.
A statement by the JHCO, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the five-truck convoy was laden with medicine and medical supplies to be distributed to a number of the strip's hospitals.
Emphasising the organisation's keenness on ensuring the coastal enclave's medical demands, JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli noted that an ambulance, a donation from the Tunisian government made to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza, was also dispatched.
