The convoy, laden with 427 tonnes of essential supplies such as food parcels and flour, represents a joint humanitarian effort. Contributions came from various organisations including Human Appeal, the South Africa-based Al Imdad Foundation, Tkiyet Um Ali, and the World Food Programme (WFP), as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
JHCO Secretary General Hussein Shibli said that the convoy crossed the King Hussein Bridge earlier in the day to deliver much-needed aid to Gaza.
In a parallel effort, the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) conducted an airdrop operation to deliver additional aid to the Strip.
This convoy, filled with food and relief items ready for distribution in the Strip, underscores Jordan’s unwavering commitment to supporting the people of Gaza amidst the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.
Shibli affirmed the organisation’s commitment to receiving donations and coordinating the delivery of aid both by land and air in solidarity with the people of Gaza. He also announced that JHCO continues to accept cash donations through the organisation’s accounts at Bank al Etihad: JO32 UBSI 1030 0000 4010 1659 9151 06, CliQ: JHCOGAZA, e-FAWATEERcom, and the organisation’s website: www.jhco.org.jo.
