AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) on Thursday launched a slew of programmes meant to support SMEs. JEDCO, in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the government-funded programmes, which are part of its strategic plan, provide technical and financial support to start small projects across the Kingdom and develop Jordanian companies' marketing operations.
JEDCO will financially support the Jordanian exporting industries, through covering 50 per cent of the cost of air and sea freight borne by the exporter, as a government response to the rising global shipping costs, the statement read.
