JEDCO, Jordan River Foundation sign cooperation memo

AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordan River Foundation on Sunday to develop and support saving and credit groups and associations, according to a statement released by the corporation.

Business mentoring, marketing and specific training for farmer groups and associations are also included in the agreement.

JEDCO’s acting CEO Riyadh Al Khatib and Jordan River Foundation Director General Enaam Barrishi signed the memo, which will be operated by the Rural Economic Growth and Employment Project and funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

The project targets youth, women farmers and small farmers in Madaba, Balqa, Jerash, Ajloun and Mafraq, according to the statement.
