JEDCO holds workshop to strengthen agricultural development

AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) on Wednesday held a workshop intended to re-identify the targeted corps within the “Rural Economic Growth and Employment Project” (REGEP) project.

The project, implemented by JEDCO, is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Dutch government, according to a JEDCO statement.

The event witnessed the participation of exporters, agricultural producers, agricultural companies and associations concerned with rural women and youth, among other partners.

Speaking to the gathering, JEDCO CEO Abdulfattah Kayed highlighted the importance of the project aimed to promote the technical and competitive capabilities of small farmers, SMEs and micro-enterprises in rural areas by providing technical and financial support.
