AMMAN — The Trilateral Labour Affairs Committee on Thursday decided to keep the minimum wage unchanged at JD260 for 2023-2024, provided that the decision will be reconsidered in 2025 to take into account the cumulative inflation rate for the 2022-2024 period.
During a meeting chaired by Minister of Industry, Trade and Labour Yousef Shamali, the committee members emphasised their commitment to balancing improving the living conditions of workers and maintaining business viability amid fierce global and regional competition.
The committee is composed of government representatives from the Ministry of Labour, employers, represented by the Jordan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and employees, represented by professional unions, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
