JD1.514b of payments made through e-FAWATEERcom since launch — CBJ

AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan has said that the total payments made through e-FAWATEER.com, an online bill payment service, amounted to JD1.514 billion since the launch of the service until the end of June, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday. The number of bills and financial transactions reached 4,193 million.

Payments in the first half of this year amounted up to JD910.7 million, compared to JD89 million in the same period of 2016. The number of bills paid and transaction made until the end of June this year reached 1.861 million, compared to around 681,000 for the same period last year. Twenty-seven banks and financial institutions use e-FAWATEERcom services, and 96 ministries and institutions use it to issue bills.
