AMMAN — President of the Jordan Centre for Disease Control (JCDC) Adel Bilbeisi received on Monday a delegation from the National Center of Public Health Laboratories at the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Yemen.
According to a statement issued by the centre on Monday, the delegation discussed the possibility of benefiting from the centre's expertise and ways to enhance cooperation in public health, particularly in surveillance and laboratories.
They also discussed sending samples from Yemen for confirmatory testing at the JCDC's laboratory. The JCDC aims to build effective partnerships with various national, regional, and international entities under the slogan "Partners for Health Security." The JCDC's laboratory, which the centre has established to serve as a reference for national and regional laboratories, is capable of handling human, environmental, and animal samples.
